Tom Wood is one of the co-founders and directors of the Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory. He has been studying hummingbirds for over 30 years and his wife, Sheri Williamson is the author of the Peterson Field Guide to Hummingbirds. His love of hummingbirds ahs taken him to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Belize, Costa Rica and Mexico.
He has been banding hummingbirds for over 30 years and has spent much of that time looking at hummingbird's use of the San Pedro River. The program will include a look back at decades of research and a look forward to what the future might hold.
