Youth Education

Water Wise Youth is an exciting University of Arizona Cooperative Extension water conservation youth education program sponsored by Cochise County and the City of Sierra Vista, Arizona. Water Wise Youth is designed to help teachers incorporate water education in the classroom. An instructional specialist from the program is available during school hours to help local teachers by leading presentations, activities and discussions with provided curriculum material. Water Wise Youth resources Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) lessons.

 

 

A Water Wise Youth Curriculum is available for the current school year. 

Catch the Rain! Rainwater Harvesting Activities 4-H2O is an additional curriculum guide loaded with activities for youth.

Water Wise Youth Poster Contest

2022 Theme: "Our Water Choices Matter"

The choices we all make at home and at school, though they seem small, really matter.  This poster contest is meant to encourage students to learn about their role in the watershed they live in and how to conserve and protect our water resources, now and for future generations.
